What We Believe

When we look at the story of our own lives, we naturally ask, “Who am I? Why am I here? What happens after we die?” We’re looking for a hero, a cause to follow, a battle to win, and a happy ending to enjoy. We want to know what life is really all about.

God answers with His true story through the Bible, real people in real places and real situations. The Bible is where we discover who the real Hero is, how to win our battles, and have a “happy ever after,” if we choose to follow Him. Here’s a thumbnail sketch of God’s story that we wholeheartedly believe:

Our Beliefs and More

• God = Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • Awesome enough to create us to walk with Him, love each other and reign over a perfect creation. (Genesis 1-2)
  • Loving enough to send Jesus to die in our place, rise again and restore us back to our original purpose – to love Him and others now and forever. (John 3:16, Matthew 22:36-40)
  • Holy enough to deserve our full and joyful obedience as He commands us in the Bible, His eternal, true Word. (Matthew 5:17-20)
  • Powerful enough to meet any need. (Philippians 4:6-7,13,19)
  • Personal enough to send the Holy Spirit to live inside each follower of Jesus. (Galatians 5:16-26)
• Jesus – died, rose, and is coming again to set up His Kingdom and restore us and His creation back to His original purpose. (Revelation 21-22)
• Salvation – by faith in Jesus from start to finish. (Ephesians 2:8-10)

Our Mission

• Love God – daily devotions, weekly worship.
• Save Souls – pray for and show Jesus’ love in word and deed.
• Grow Believers – connect in small groups, serve together.
• Serve Wholeheartedly – meet the needs of the whole person – spirit, soul, and body.
